My perfect job...

From 2pm til 8pm in a really big museum. I wear all my over the top goth clothes, hair, makeup, with a brightly coloured museum t shirt over the top. I lead tours about the oceans round the whole place, from minerals to fossils to things in jars to wave tanks. In every room there is a high stool for me to sit on while I talk so that my knees don't stop working and everyone can see me. I get to make little kids really excited about aquatic dinosaurs and adults informed about issues that could (*coughwillcough*) arise from sea floor mining.

The people at the front desk will say "Okay cool, the next Wonders of the Oceans tour begins at 4pm, it starts in this hall here. I'd recommend getting there about ten minutes early, you're looking for the goth with a sparkly walking stick. She's happy to chat about any questions you might have."

True. Not plausible.

During the first two years after his first flight across the Atlantic, over three hundred applications were recorded at the U. S. Patent Office for songs about Charles Lindbergh.

In the book The Century, it’s noted that hundreds of songs were written about Charles Lindbergh. But Lindbergh got tired of his fame- he told his publicist, “I was so filled up with this hero guff, I was ready to shout murder.”

From what I could find, the song “Lucky Lindy” doesn’t seem to be that notable today, so I doubt it’s played that often, if at all.

Not plausible.

I think there’s some language from the law itself missing here to make it sound this strange. Perhaps if it said, “No person, except those voting,” but with the next phrase, that doesn’t make sense.

I also checked the law for voting procedure and there’s nothing like this there. So either this part was excised due to confusion or someone made it up.

What if JYP drops a major bomb on us and decides to add one of his tainees to the Wonder Girls as the main vocal?

Not plausible.

The Moravian Church is big on being peaceful. Members of the church can only be soldiers if they’re forced into the military, and even then, seek out a non-combat position or only wound in battle. I find it very unlikely that they would be willing to execute anyone.

Not plausible.

This site says diamonds make up one part to a million parts kimberlite rock in a diamond mine, and that’s for a high grade deposit area. For that, you’d need one carat of diamond for 441 pounds of kimberlite rock. So this factoid should be more like 104 carats for every 23 tons.

Maybe if this was for a low grade deposit area, it would be plausible. Higher than that, and I doubt it.

#1024: “During World War I the punishment for homosexuality in the French army was execution. If the offender was an officer he was allowed a final charge against the enemy on the understanding that he would get himself shot.”

Not plausible.

France was comparatively lenient about homosexuality. As long as the behavior was kept private, it was all right. However, in England, if a man was caught in a homosexual act, then he would be whipped with a birch fifteen times. That was considered an extreme punishment for that time, but it isn’t as extreme as being executed would be.

Funnily enough, both the French and English considered Germans so gay that a gay Frenchman during that time would ask another man if he spoke German to figure out if he was gay too.
