Whenever you mention how weak Dee is as a character in S1 (aka traditional straight-laced tropey female character) I think of the interview Kaitlin did with Buzzfeed a few years ago where she said at the end of S1 she ended up going to Rob saying she wanted to leave the show bc Dee was written so badly and that's not what she signed up for, so they ended up agreeing that RCG would just write Dee like one of the dudes and Kaitlin would "make it girly" going forward (thank god for Kait...)

yea really thank god for kaitlin!!!!!! i’m so so glad that changed after season one bc 1) it wasn’t anything like her character now but more importantly 2) it would’ve been following the classic ‘voice of reason’ trope in sitcoms, mostly given to women which is like obviously because creators believe that women don’t have the capability to act cruel or have any more depth..not saying rcg are like that, it was just s1 after all, they were trying stuff out, but I’m very appreciative of kaitlin stepping up and making sure she gets what she deserves. hopefully other media creators look at dee reynolds and learn that women can be just as unhinged and complex and likeable without necessarily having to just be nice all the time

joke’s on you, this whole blog is a PRAAAANK !!!!!!!!! we are the actual glenn and rob criticizing all of our episodes bc we need to live up to everyone claiming we invented gay rights

Do you have a complete ranked list of all the episodes already made ahead of time before you post, or is there sort of a deliberation every time you post a new ranking?

this is a really cool question! we actually have a ongoing google doc where we have all the episodes written down. at first we separated them into like very vague groups like ‘bad’ vs. ‘good’ and now we talk together all the time and try to slowly organize them. so no we definitely don’t have all the eps already ranked, but we have a good general idea of where all the eps fall in the ranking. we constantly make tweaks though based on rewatches and comparing certain eps so yea the process can be sort of chaotic but it works for us!
