Tomorrow’s spoiler discussion under the cut for those who don’t want to see it
WTF?! Celia is really going to kill Bear?! Are the audience not even going to see it?! Is he the body being dragged?! :((( jesus. I read that article a couple of times and some of the language makes me 👀. Is he really going to be dead or is this saving for a shock reveal of him alive later?
This just feels like particularly harsh and cruel way to end this story. Then again there is a funeral apparently that was mentioned as happening early in the new year and they mention Joshua Richards as ‘leaving’ the soap. BUT why would they reveal this in a radio times article 24 hours before the episode drops???
I’ve watched and I think what makes it worse is they’re really going to go for the whole so much sexual attraction ‘we shouldn’t but I can’t help myself’ sort of situation. Like they’re really going to go for the whole hooking up in secret scandalous situation and Vic will eventually find out and be absolutely fine about it. God it’s so predictable
I mean they're clearly trying to recreate the tension that Robron had. They even got their own version of the wall shove, gag me. But other than Aaron now knows he's Robert's half brother they haven't established any tension. They certainly don't have any sexual tension to speak of. But that's because once again the show has skipped over telling any kind of actual story and is relying solely on the Sugden thing.
Watched yesterday’s episode. Nothing even remotely matters were Robert to come back. Both Ben and Mack would be like an irritating buzzing noise to be swatted away in the presence of superior love.
But meanwhile as I’m in a minority of people who doesn’t object to Ben in theory, here’s some more of my thoughts.
First, Aaron continues the trend of having blink and you miss it scenes. Second I continue to be glad he has someone other than Chas and Paddy to share the short scenes with.
Frankly I don’t get the confusion around Ben and Aaron’s relationship status. It’s clear enough that he’s there as a friend and nothing more at the moment.
But also Ben being there in Aaron’s hour of need shows that he cares at a slightly deeper level as well as wanting to rip his clothes off.
I also think the switch from falling out to being there to support Aaron has been covered. The original fall out was over Liv with Aaron overreacting to not having his phone when she had a seizure, and lashing out at Ben. This time around Ben discovered she has an alcohol problem and is a vulnerable person, something he can relate to. In the context he reinterprets Aaron’s original behavior and steps up to support someone he knows and fancies in a small village where they both work (and live ?) I know I’m inferring but isn’t all watching inferring to some extent? How much do we need explicitly stated? Isn’t that the point of keeping watching?
Has it been well written, definitely no. Do they have off the wall chemistry, no again. Do I ship them? No.
Do I support them as a positive pairing for Aaron? I’ll wait and see. I think Robert would want Aaron in a safe relationship with someone loving and caring. Unless he comes back now or until he comes back.
I’ve been hating Shameless for years now for what they did to my son Mickey Milkovich.... and now they hit me with that... and I still hate them.... but I am also so happy for my son <3
Niffler is back!!!!!!
Emmerdale have been trying really hard the last coulme of weeks to make me like Joe Tate and it's actually sorta working
