and this is the last i'm defending myself to some rando who doesn't know me but i'll say this i've seen actual racism involving characters in the roswell new mexico fandom. people hating on maria deluca because she's black and because she gets in between a m/m romance (one of the male characters is bisexual) so you got biphobia and racism colliding there. she gets hate and loads of it. nico is getting criticism, there's a difference

okay I’ll actually answer this because I do watch rnm **spoilers ahead**

from what I’ve seen (at least the few people I follow) their issue isn’t with the fact that she’s black, that she gets between Michael and Alex. earlier in the episode, Alex (who is openly gay in the tv show) said that he never felt comfortable with women in a sexual setting (paraphrasing but you get the gist of it) but then Maria kissed Alex without asking him and consent wasn’t really given

so currently I’ve got 6 asks sitting in my inbox which all will remain unanswered and unpublished. I’ve decided to end this discourse (which I wasn’t really a part of anyway) and the one about roswell new mexico.

I’ll say one thing: I don’t know how many different people messaged me, because everyone was using anon. and it’s fine, I’m not going to turn off anon but next time, maybe include something like an emoji or a random letter at the end of your message because it gets really confusing.

I think Alex wouldn’t do this and it was a bad exit like they should of just killed him and his letter to Meredith was more touching then his letter to jo like Tf it my head he died when he went to visit his mom because I don’t want him to be a coward that is season 1 Alex not season 16 Alex.

Yess exactly what I was thinking. Sure he's known Mer for over 16 years, but Jo is (was) his wife so he definitely should've sent the more touching letter to Jo

I don't like how rushed Alex's exit was but I believe that the show did a decent job with his departure. I never liked Jo and always felt Izzie was Alex's endgame. If there was more time to develop this storyline, I would totally be behind it. To do it in one episode cheapened the whole thing. However, Justin Chambers left abruptly and this is what the writers were dealing with. How do you write off a beloved character in a few episodes and do him justice?

I know it wasn't easy to write it but I still don't like it and I will be salty about it for a long time 😂

I know in the story it doesn't make sense but Jo wouldn't go because Camilla Luddington plans on being around on grey's and wants to keep working so plus shes a popular character i get they had to split her and alex up and there was no good way for it i knew they wouldn't kill him after the backlash from derek being killed. and long distance wouldn't work in the long run either.I get Justin Chambers wanted to leave but i just don't see a good way this could of been done

Yeah I guess it would've been easier to deal with it if they had more time to flesh it out
