Is it bad I have a favorite child in the Sunday school class I help with? Like I was having a depressing week and then this absolute sunshine of child is in the class and she made me so happy that if I start to feel depressed again all I need to do is remind myself I get to see her again on Sunday and I feel better. like usually I am ignored by these children but this absolute sweetheart was so kind enough to go the extra mile she didn’t know she was going and told me that she loved me and my hair was pretty and gave me a frickn hug! I don’t even do anything with my hair besides brush it! And she said it was pretty! And when some of the kids were making bracelets she gave me this bead she thought was pretty so I could use it to make a bracelet! I could have never at that age, I would have been so selfish and made myself a bracelet with it! and before that when the kids were getting treasure box she misunderstood and thought she was supposed to put something in the box so she was gonna put the bead she thought was pretty in it. this child is absolutely precious. I just want her all to myself, is that selfish? I don’t think I’ve ever felt the need to have attention from anyone like this. Like this absolute angel of a kid just jumped into my heart and refuses to leave. I feel sad when she has to go! Is this what it’s like to be a proud parent?

I’m just going to cut to the chase here, I don’t understand much about terms and stuff in regards to trans people, non-binary people, gender fluid, etc.

If you aren’t cis, could you please explain stuff to avoid, stuff that works, etc?

I mean this 100% un ironically, because I don’t want to say something rude or something that makes things worse, or anything in a post.  Thanks a whole bunch!
