I will sit here and gush for a moment because the love I have for Rian, especially his arc dealing with Mira’s death is unmatched. I may be a Stonegrot stan but watching this character witness his love’s death, then witness what is essentially the remnants of her soul get defiled, then to have the entirety of his own kind blame him for her murder, then watch the last piece he has of her which he carried and kept safe like it was the most precious thing imaginable finally get consumed too, and to relive her death every time he had to show someone the truth because that was more important— AAA

There’s so much more to why I just adore this guy. But his arc with Mira and finally having to let go of her Essence is, for me anyway, what lead to him staying in that carriage and turned him from a son living in his Captain’s shadow to the hero who became the face of the Resistance. It’s such a beautifully written hero’s journey that I could clearly sit here writing paragraphs for daysss 😩👏👏 The way he speaks about Mira to Maudra Fara too, fuck me it has me in ugly tears every time and I have watched this show more times than I care to admit. PROTECT.👏 HIM. 👏

TLDR if you haven’t seen this show what are you doing literally I beg you go watch this masterpiece and the og film ok I go now bye bye.
