When you want to message a person but feel like you’re not good enough. Or feel like they pretend to like you but really don’t.
Ahh yes, fandom awards. That never turns out well😳😂
[Above: random pages from @guardian-comic. I see Tumblr compression is at it again: you can zoom to crisper, larger versions on the original blog.]
WHOOPS. Wrong blog, obviously. But since I accidentally posted something from another blog, lemme explain.
Since 2012, @mintywolf has been posting a graphic novel, @guardian-comic, based on an RPG you may or may not know: Final Fantasy X, set in the magical world of Spira. This fanfic is told from the point of view of the prickly, stoic, and does-not-suffer-fools-gladly goth witch character, Lulu.
In canon, Lulu and friends spent years training to be guardians of a sweet but determined summoner, Yuna. (A summoner is a priestess who summons spirit-beasties to defend ordinary people from the monsters that inevitably ravage their video game world). Yuna is going on a pilgrimage to save Spira from the Biggest Baddest Monster, as their religion tells them to do. But (a) the church is hiding something important (b) in the video game, a clueless male POV character saunters in, becomes the love interest, and eclipses Lulu and all the other characters. And has the chutzpah to call it “his” story. Repeatedly.
This fanfic puts the spotlight back on Lulu, Yuna & friends. Because Lulu loved Yuna enough to die for her (that first page recaps a scene near the end of the game, the inspiration for the rest of @guardian-comic). So this is their story.
TL:DR: EPIC FANTASY F/F ASEXUAL ROMANCE, ANGST, GORGEOUS ART, GOOD STORY, AU FIX-IT FIC.
Alas, the poor artist has been drawing it for so many years that her target audience has drifted into new fandoms, and I have no idea how she maintains the discipline to finish this puppy but she’s almost there. It’s a fantastic comic even if you’ve never played the game. I wholeheartedly recommend it.
>> Here’s page 1. (It’s also on DeviantArt, where it’s easier to leave comments.)
All of episode 1 hasn't even aired yet but that will NOT stop the parallel gif sets of the entire season 3 with three clips of season 4
Tumblr really should remove anonymous asks entirely then these whiny hate sending cowards will scatter like rats and crawl back into their holes while furiously making burner accounts.
