Shisui didn't see Yuuna at first, and honestly, he was certain he was seeing a ghost when he walked by her, but there she was! He was so surprised he stood there, blinking, then his face broke out into a grin, and he rushed toward her.

"YUUNA!" he bounced over to her and lifted her up in the air, spinning her around, careful of the tea. He was overjoyed to see her, so he put her down and held her at arm's length and studied her. "Still as beautiful as ever, I didn't expect to see you here today."

Focused on her task, Yunnan was surprised by Shusui's sudden approach. Perhaps as a ninja, whether she still took missions or not, she should have reacted badly to being picked up so suddenly. But she'd remember her sweet clansman's voice and energy always and it lead to her just laughing in delight as she was spun about.

"You're too kind..." Reaching up, she patted gently at his hair whether he let her actually make contact or not. It was about showing affection, not about forcing it upon him. "I've been, hm, making new tea blends. This one is naturally, hm, sweet, I made it with honey crystals, jasmine, rose hip, and a little bit of raspberries... would you care to join, hm, me?"

He smiled happily at being pat on the head by Yuuna.

"I'm surprised you remembered how much I love jasmine," he watched her for a few moments, preparing the tea. "That sounds very good I could use a new tea brand to try. Never had tea with honey crystals."

Smiling warmly back at him so widely her eyes squinted. Yunna truly did adore her chosen few who never seemed off put by her gentleness.

"Of course I did, hm. You're held in my heart, hm," She nodded firmly, her conviction of the matter clear. "I'll, hm, always remember."

"The crystals melt when the water is added and they make it just a little bit," Yuuna held up a band to show two fingers almost pinched together. "Sweet."

He hugged Yuuna to him for a brief second and finally let go. She was always going to be special to him, as someone who gave everyone around her endless comfort and who always seemed to know how to read his moods. He decided to pick her brain a bit today, and figure out what her favorite aspects of everything was.

"Let me carry this for you," he took the tea from her and placed everything on a tray. He nudged her along as he carried the tray to the porch outside, and set it down. "It's finally warm! I've been complaining about how rainy and cold the weather was lately and today the sun came out!" Shisui was relieved, he needed it to be sunny and dry so very badly. He had a great many things in mind to do this summer.

She was plenty happy to be held and leaned into him just slightly until he let go. There were so many that chose to let the hells of this world destroy them, to turn them jaded and make them cold and hard. Yuuna simply refused to let anyone else have that power over her and wouldn't let her heart be closed off. Even if it hurt her sometimes.

Giving a soft almost laugh at Shisui's insistence at taking the tea, she still passed it over while fondly shaking her head. "Thank you, dear heart."

"Oh, do you not, hm, like the cold?" There was no judgement in her words even as she looked out across the sunlit greenery with a small smile. She wasn't terribly picky about any of it until it got too warm and she had to deal with overheating as she refused to go without her long sleeves. Not everyone needed to know of her past. "Or is it just, hm, the sun you missed?"

He settled down with her, and smiled, arranging the tea and sugar before them. He poured them both a cuppa and placed the mug before her.

He took a sip before answering, savoring the flavor of the jasmine and rose hips mixed with the honey crystals. It was rich, delicate and soothing, like Yuuna. He instantly felt less anxious. He clasped her hand in appreciation, loving her for being here. For just being her. Yuuna was an angel.

"I think it's the cold that never seems to leave me, that I hate." He gently let go of her hand and picked up his tea cup, drinking the sweet heat. "The summer sun, the scent of the dandelions, the incessant insects crawling over everything," he grinned, he hated bugs. "Summer is so welcome I missed it. Summer nights too, the scent of the hot pavement cooling off. Sunlight has a... different smell, than winter sun. It's more romantic." He shrugged a little, summer was a happy season. Even if he was sad at times, it was easier to be sad in summer, than winter.

"I really like this tea.. Yuuna. The rosehip flavor is new to me. Do you need sugar?" Shisui was cutting back on sugar, but he wasn't a strong sugar in tea person.
