this whole Post+ thing felt like another stupid tumblr update at first but for real the points people have made about copyright and the legal trouble blogs could get into are really important to note!
I can make gifs for a show I don't own the rights to because I make them for free and don't make any profit off of the copyrighted work.
this blog will never be behind a paywall for that reason (but also because I hate corps for finding ways to monetize absolutely everything on social media) and I just want to impress on everyone not to use this service at all.
People have also brought up security issues they believe would effect your payment information, and in the many years I have had accounts on this site I can tell you firsthand that your sensitive information is not 100% safe here.
In all, this update ranges from not worth it to downright dangerous. Don't use it. Encourage your favorite *original* (not fanwork) creators to open a Patreon or link a Ko-fi if you would like to support them financially!
