Tbh I don't really know how to answer your question. You mean why do I use this term? I think it's quite commonly used for creating in-game screenshots, and well, it has a bit in common with irl photography (tho of course it's much simpler, at least technically).
If you mean how I make them - I mainly use two tools - Frans Bouma's Free Camera tool and ReShade. And then small editing as with irl photography.
