Isn’t this green tree frog a cutie? The remarkable thing is that this frog climbed 35 metres to be at the top of my deck. It’s a big fall. They must be so strong!

"At lengths of up to 2.5m (8.2ft) and weighing 20kg (44lb) the Perentie is a fast, clever and formidable hunter.
With thick scaly skin, long claws, strong back legs, a whip-like tail and razor sharp teeth, the Perentie isn’t a lizard to be taken lightly.
It’s also the 4th largest lizard on the planet, and can eat just about anything you can find in the Australian bush.. including small Kangaroos. What a total badass.

DING DONG DING DONG DING DONG!
Western Australians!
Are you aware that NO wildlife rescue work in WA is funded by the government?? We get zero funding. At all. And more than 80% of wildlife treatment is carried out by only 6 main charities in perth, with 90 small rehabilitators (literally individuals and small local groups) across the state.
With bird flu arriving, we literally CANNOT afford to continue operating. Two charities have already closed, and the rest are hanging on by a thread. If government funding is not received in the next budget, then all 6 major charities will permanently close their doors. We simply do not have the proper facilities or PPE to deal with an animal pandemic.
Good news! Here's how you can help:
