Eternal Moments of a Heroic Life
I recently learned about Christian Marty, the Concorde pilot for the horrific crash in 2000. You might expect “Concorde pilot” to be the most notable thing about a person, even if they weren’t at the controls for a crash. But Marty was the first person to windsurf across the Atlantic Ocean. It took over a month. He slept on the board.
“I didn’t want to gain a single mile unless my wrists and arms felt it,” Marty told a reporter after his historic crossing.
