I learned some cat things today. (I did not grow up with an indoor cat so some things are new to me.)
1. Cats need to regularly slough off their claws' outer layer
2. If the claws over grow without the sloughing and without being clipped they can get ingrown! So they curl around and grow into the little toe beans!
3. Make sure your cat has both vertical AND horizontal scratching surfaces that are very rough and scratchy (normal carpet is not abrasive enough) to help with claw upkeep aaaand just because it creates a better environment for your cat
