Thanks! We’ve essentially only had 3 weeks of practice (and we only meet once a week), and one week of that was them choosing their pieces. Argh. They’ve all chosen women writers though, which yay. Even my wee lad. 

None of them have done OI before though, and one of them is only tiny, and holy heck I’m nervous for them. They’re still working on characterisation! My tiny, quiet voiced, G9er has chosen Atwood....which makes me even more nervous. She can channel sassy teen no worries, but the put-upon have-seen-everything-in-the-world old woman, that is still a bit beyond her. 

We’ll get there. They’ll do themselves proud, I’m sure. But I have to kick their asses a bit first. :p You know what that’s like. :D

so like. i'm super fond of all the fics mentioned so far--Between the Lines, Brigadier's Brewers, and Dearly Departed--i'm due for a re-read on all of them, and everything else too really, ^_^ i also love Diving into the Wreck, there's a lot of fascinating worldbuilding there too, :) and We're Married?!! always makes me laugh. the general danvers fandom is so lucky to have you, ^_^

Diving into the Wreck started with such promise… that may or may not get worked into an original fiction over the years, there’s so much more to do with it! and We’re Married?!?! was so fun and quick and I love the response that one got :D thank you so much for your sweet message it’s made today so lovely!

Delighted, yes, haha.  I am!  Here I am, ficcing along, and these euphemisms will not fit, and I’m like what is the actual word even, I can’t remember.  Oh, right.  Here we have this perfect, luscious, textural word that is precise as fuck and I am going to make it a thing.  Because, yes.  Say it and I promise it sounds and feels (in your mouth, haha) exactly everything you would want that word to be.  In the language of sex, mmn! such a much needed option, I think.

Glad to have you chuckling at my tags with me!  Tell people to put dick in their mouths and it’s all har har har.  But tell those people to put vulva in their mouths and it’s all what, um, crickets.  I’m like, the word, come on, it’s not that hard, and on and on and on.  Best laugh all month.  Such a good laugh.  (Context: graphic sex talk is our drinking topic of choice in case that reads really poorly in strictly text online.)
