On this Thanksgiving I am thinking about Zelda having to put herself up for the Feast of Feasts lottery, and because of a mistake, a distraction, the lot meant for Prudence is selected by her before Sabrina can interrupt and prevent it in time. Back at the house then, they have their shouting match in the kitchen, and in my mission to include Marie in all different parts of the narrative, the argument veers off course and is like:
"Aunt Zelda. You have to stop this!"
"There's nothing I can do, Sabrina. It's the Dark Lord's will."
"Nothing? Well, then, you know who I'm calling? Marie."
"Oh, so you weren't going to tell her that you're being sacrificed and murdered in three days? That's not something you think she should know? Like seriously?"
In this timeline, let's say, the two have been together long distance for over a decade, and things have waned between them a bit, being busy and time passing. But within hours, Marie shows up and is like, "Did I hear it right?! Zelda! I'm not letting you be eaten, even if I have to kidnap you."
