Do you have an idea as to why it is that when I type knitting into the search bar on ao3 I get 1327 works but when I click the knitting tag it says that there are works? Thank you!

Hey!  That’s a great question.  It looks like there are 685 works when you click on Knitting -- and yes, I do have an idea why! :D  685 is the number of works that actually use the tag “Knitting” (or a synonym tag, like “Gratuitous Knitting,” "Knitting is Magic,” or “knitting!!!” -- all of which you can find on the Knitting tag page).  However, there are a bunch more works that have knitting somewhere in the summary, title, etc. but don’t use the tag -- e.g., The Story of How Merlin Invented Knitting. Typing “knitting” into the search bar also returns those fics.

Not currently. I wanted to do a poetry collection but I don’t know if the timing will work out or if our current staff is the best arbiter for it
