India Arie was an artist that I used to listen to with my dad when I was younger. We used to sing along to this album specifically and I honestly did not pay attention to the words or the meaning for that matter. But once I began to use this album for one of my English paper, I instantly listened to words. I realized this song expressed how I felt about God. With everything that I have been through my first semester here at Georgia Southern attests to the fact that he is real. I started off having a great semester, then things began to crash one by one. I lost friends, my grades were slipping, I had a medical condition, and I was starting to feel depressed, but all in all, I have come out on top. Through the prayers and strong faith of my family, I have gained more friends, my grades are looking beautiful, I am as healthy as a horse, and most of all i am beginning to find my happiness again. This semester has taught me many lessons and the knowledge that I have gained from them, will be carried over into next semester. I cannot wait to see what God has instore for me in the future.
