Just curious , how do you annotate like what's the process ?
I have two very different methods depending on whether it's a non fiction for university or just fiction I feel like annotating.
I had been thinking to do a whole post about it because I have a pretty structured method for non fiction, but till then here's some general explainations ( if I am not clear or you have more questions feel free to ask!)
So first thing you have to know is that if I have to read a book for university, my goal is to read it only once and then creat notes that enable me not to open the book again. So my notes on book take a bit of time but they are super precise. Since you never know whether you'll be that precise though, I like to be very clear about chapters and sub-chapters. So that if I need clarification I won't loose much time. With this being said what I do is read a whole chapter (if it's really long I'd usually devide it), and while reading I underline all things important I need to have in my notes. What I want is to make visible sentences, names and words that maje very clear the information. After doing that I gobback to the beginning of the chapter and I start creating notes based on what I have underlined. By doing this I have this set of notes that lets me have the information of books in my own words anytime I need that.
I have a whole method for notes aswell, in case you are interested. With books I don't have to study for university things are more chill, mostly because this method is very efficent but takes up a lot of time.
I really hope that I was able to answer to you with this explaination, as I said if you have other questions my inbox is always open! I hope you'll have a great day 💜🌿
