☮ = waking them up after a nightmare .
The downpour from above assaulted the ground below. Nothing that would pass through its heavy bombardment of the streets would have an easy go of maintaining their balance under such pressure as gallons of water would pummel them in less than a couple of seconds. Definitely, one of the worst rains Viktor had the pleasure of witnessing and participating in.
The herald kept himself, somewhat, dry underneath an awning on someone’s porch. He didn’t know who’s, but he wouldn’t get to stick around and ask to come in for a cup of a hospitable, warm beverage, he had other worries-- A creature lurking, tall, and tailing him from behind for some time now. Its shape was fairly indiscernible, but one thing was for sure, and that was how tall it was. It’s sheer size gave off such an intimidating aura, and one that felt like it was also thirsty for blood, his blood.
In order to get away, he would have to brave the dense rain again, which seemed to have no effect on whatever creature was following him, and it seemed to gain on him everytime he did. Almost like the creature could swim in this storm. Unfortunately for Viktor, he could not swim, and his augments slowed him down. They normally wouldn’t, but they just felt heavier than they always had, but he had to make his run for it.
After the first step, he buckled under the water weight but managed to stay up. His third arm became limp and unresponsive immediately, but he kept on.The next few steps he got a little more used to the weight and how he should counterbalance. He had to check his progress, how far had he gotten? He so desperately wanted to know, but as he turned, the creature had gained further than it had on the previous runs, and was now right behind him. His heart fluttered and the air in his lungs flushed out, leaving only a vacuum. As he tried to get a small sample of air back in his lungs, the creature slashed--
He shot straight upright in his chair and frantically started to breathe. Foreign hands held his shoulders as he started to realized he was shaken awake from his hellish dream. The face he could see did not bare any familiar features, but it also did not look friendly at first glance either. A case of RBF.
After a moment or two, he regained his composure and ran his fingers through his hair, scanning the area for any other guests and or intruders.
“What are you doing in here? What is it that you want?”
