Under My Chains And Under The Horizon.

A LONG time waiting, but it's finally here, an absolutely wonderful illustration by my equally wonderful friend weirdozjunkary.

This goes extremely hard! and shows the inner turmoil of Shadow being controlled by Horizon aka Moonjumper.

Night Of The Horizon Au (NOTH AU)

Long ago an ancient and powerful deity was trapped into the moon, becoming it's eternal guardian, this is how the urban myth of 'the man on the moon' started in Sonic's Universe.

This entity was forgotten by many, though it's said to have some connections to The Ancients on the Starfall Islands and of course The End.

It would have stayed watching over earth thru the Moon's Horizon if not for one faithful day, during the events of Sonic Adventure 2: Battle. Doctor Eggman fired a warning shot for the earth right at the moon itself, destroying part of it and setting the deity free.

Though it was free it did not make a move untill it found a worthy host for it's power and it quickly found one in due time as Shadow The Hedgehog Found himself falling towards earth, and as Shadow fell the entity took it's chance and entered the body of the ultimate life form, leading to a massive crater in the earth.

Shadow woke up in a dark void with his only company being the moon, and a window to the outside world thru his own eyes, he had almost no control over his body, as finally the entity known by it's true name 'Moonjumper' woke up during the following night.

The Horizon had shined upon earth once again and it was going to have so much fun.

Horizon Shadow

Voice: Sounds like Barnaby From Billie Bust Up, But has the tone/way of speaking of White Diamond From Steven Universe.

He also calls people Starlight.

Powers:

Horizon has the ablity to control others via a red string he can summon from the sky via Portals, and he maneuvers the string like someone orchestrating a beautiful show.

Possesses size changing abilities and can become larger then even the moon itself, but often prefers to keep to Shadows regular height.

Can hover in the air, and often likes to float around in a somewhat sassy pose.

Can control the stars in the sky to write out messages, and manipulate waves, or make asteroid's crash to earth.

He also of course is able to use all of Shadow's abilities even without a chaos emerald, in some cases they are even stronger versions of Shadows normal/chaos abilities.

Though he is not without his withdraws.

Horizon is most powerful/active at night.

At Day he is still a genuine force to be reckoned with however he's at his weakest state only at 50% power level. However their are moments of silence. Where he will go completely still and quiet his eyes closed, and sometimes. You can see Shadow himself staring back at you with a tired look.

And it's not the instant it's considered 'night' he get's his full strength, no it starts increasing at about 6pm. He is able to use it to his full advantage, at 12am from 6am.

There are also times his power goes beyond 100%, but these are uncommon events such as a solar eclipse. Or if he's directly in the horizon of the moon, but timing that is alot harder.

If something such as a Lunar Eclipse happens, He'll become much more alien like in appearance, and more animalistic in nature and personality.

He's at his most dangerous state during a total eclipse, during which he is virtually unstoppable untill it ends.

Personality: Horizon can be almost described as a 'theater kid' living for the performance to make thoes he interacts with genuinely fear him, but also look upon him in awe, he's very dramatic yet at the same time sophisticated.

It really just matters on the type of mood you capture him, or if he sees you as a threat or a potential 'helper' He can be quite silly at times often giggling and clapping his hands together, but never let your guard down near him, because his playful nature can go away in moments.

What are his goals? He wants to people to experience the moon as he remembers it, a beautiful perfectly round light in the sky, and in order todo that, he plans to either manipulate others, or use his abilities on them, to control them like puppets.

He wants the moon repaired, and once it is, he plans to truly bring the moon and it's beauty to an all new level of life, by trapping all of his 'helpers' very beings inside the moon itself, much like how he was trapped inside it. He wants to make them appreciate the moon like he does, even if it's by force.

Once he's gotten the moon back to it's proper glory, traps enough souls inside it, and make them love the moon and it's beauty like he does, he'll convert the earth into a copy of the moon, after all what's better then one moon then two moons?

Are there situations were horizon would spy on someone?

Is it really spying if he can't help it? For everything the moonlight touches, he can see everyone and everything, though once nothing more then a silent observer.

If something or someone catches his eye, he can investigate in person now that he's free.

The real question is for the people gets an interest in, will they become his 'friends of the moon' or will they become simple playthings, to be toyed with untill they become boring to him and dropped dead?

Horizon, are you going to stay permentally in Shadow's body or are you staying in it till the moon is fix?

Horizon: Black Arms, Black Eyes, Shaded under the umbra's decedent, in a way I feel kin-ship with thoes not of this world, not quite here, not quite there, somewhere in-between.

I too am not from the planet, but yet at the same time, I do have some of my origins here, you could call us both a mixed bag. Waiting to be unraveled, but the tie on us is too tight. Where the only way to truly know our contents, would be to tear us open and find out!

A Corpse am I, living yet dead, dead yet living, am I truly existing or am I ash blowing thru the wind?

Shadow will remain my host, till I no longer see fit, to keep it as such.

You said it has connections to end, is that why horizon likes the moon? becauseit looks like the end? And how is he related to Starfall?

Oh no if anything he considers 'the end' to be a mockery on all he stands for, he could never stand the end.

Starfall is just simply where he got his clothing from, a place he used to call home.

Him and The End are more like acquaintance's turned bitter if the ancients were still around, some might even rumor that the end is part of the reason why Horizon was trapped.

So he raps the string around their hand or whole body?

More like the strings would attach themselves to all the joints, the hands, the fingers, like a proper marionette.

From my questions so far, I've noticed that horizon does not like higher beings. Why so? Did they offend him in the past? (could Eggman fix the moon the way he did in Sonic X?)

Horizon in his full size, larger then the moon looking down upon you, his giant eyes staring literal death into your very soul.

Horizon: Whom doth thou think trapped thy in the spark of my own reverence and Moniker sake?

Thine are gone GONE! forsaken by the world left mostly buried and forgotten, aside from a certain DREAMER, and both dark and light Gaia.

They are all best left skeletal forgotten like ancient history.

THEY GOT WHAT THEY DESERVED FOR TRAPPING ME OH SO LONG AGO, MAY THE WAKEFUL FEW THRIVE, FOR UNDER THE MOONS EYE, THE NIGHT WELCOMES ALL IT'S OWLS.

THOES WHO WORSHIP THY SUN? MAY THEY ROT ROT ROT UNTILL NOT EVEN THY STORIES REMEMBER THEM CORRECTLY THRU MISCONSTRUCTION AND IRELLVANCE.
