murphy hadn’t been all that grateful about his potentially explosive rc car. she couldn’t really blame him though, it did look like trash, not to mention they’d broken the controller  &  she had never gotten around to fixing it until earlier that day.   ‘ o, you should know me well enough by now. ’   aka it’s definitely not safe, but it’s safe from their distance. it’s fine. there was a slight possibility the car would explode on it’s own upon being powered up, but the chance wasn’t high enough for ravens liking  --  which is why she’d decided to rig it up with proper explosives on a timer.   ‘ just don’t get too close  &  you’ll get to keep your eyebrows. simple. ’   she shrugged, holding the controller out to the younger girl.   ‘ the cars fate lies in your hands now. ’

it was pretty hard to apologize to someone for basically killing them  --  octavia may have survived the wound  &  the fall, but echo has seen people, her friends, die from much less. octavia should be dead.   ‘ i don’t know how else to tell you that i’m sorry. ’   &  really, she was. the last thing she wanted to do was kill the younger blake, or to hurt bellamy in the process. if octavia had just come with her like she’d asked, there wouldn’t even be a need to be apologizing. except, well, you know, the fact she did try cheating in the conclave, but surely that was irrelevant at this point.   ‘ i didn’t mean to hurt you, octavia. ’
