His tongue slowly drags against his bottom lip, as he watches the other in clear discomfort. A lean back, comfort found in a hostile environment, where pokes and prods touch vital points.

Why would he agree to this?

McCoy is standing alone, arms wrapped around himself and hands rubbing his biceps in an attempt to warm himself. Blue eyes are narrowed as they adjust to the light of the moon, almost obscured by clouds that shift and dance above him.

He muttered through clenched teeth. Half an hour he’d been here now, the sound of his watch giving a soft beep to let him know that it had just ticked past midnight. Ten minutes. Ten more minutes was all he’d give to Nigma. If there was no sign of him when the time was up, the Doctor was going to head off back to his car and back to his warm bed - where any sane person should be on a night like this.

”Well, aren’t you an early bird, doctor.”

Edward stepped dramatically out of the shadows in a way that would have been much more impressive if he were Batman. He strode over, adjusting his grip on the tools he was carrying as he walked, and grinned at the other man. It was nice to see that McCoy had bothered to show up at all, and Eddie felt almost sorry for making him wait.

“Ready to dig yourself up a corpse, doc?” Nigma twirled one of the shovels he was carrying-- or tried to, anyway. It was a little too heavy to really twirl gracefully through the air, and instead just sort of swung a bit. Eddie looked at it for a moment, then tossed it at McCoy.

“Jeeze. It’s cold out here-- how long have you been waiting around? No matter. Digging should warm you up a bit, and then we can both go inside and get warm.”

my opinion on;

character in general: bones is such a painful character for me, in that he’s just, he encompasses a lot of human emotions that are just so --- /o\ ( cue screaming ). i love how much he cares, i love his loyalty, i love everything about him and how he --- excuse me there’s a creature on my wall and i need to take them outside --- okay, anyway, bones is the kind of character i think everyone should love and adore because he’s just such an important character to know, both in terms of fictional writing, as well as in star trek. he’s just --- i have many emotions. so many. how they play them: honestly one of the best bones interpretations i’ve ever had the pleasure of writing with and seeing on my dash. you capture aspects of him in a manner that’s just so well balanced, and you don’t fall heavily into a standard trope or pour too much of a particular idea or quality that he has. it’s brilliant, and you’re a brilliant writer --- like we’ve said, our writing clicks, and it flows so naturally that you just know it’s one of those amazing things. the mun: for one you get extra points because you’re close to my timezone, for another you get a few more because you’re in the future, and you know, finally, you’re just easy to talk to. we clicked really fast, and you’re one of my favourite dorks and i love how much you love characters and how much respect and importance you have in terms of characterisation. you’re also a total babe and it’s great to talk and not just be rp partners, but take that step beyond and be friends, because honestly that’s so important and you’re amazing.
