Remember when Roose said 'we don't have enough men to hold the north'? And when Littlefinger said that a betting man would back Stannis to win? Presumably Roose went on the mother of all recruitment drives, and LF keeps moving around so much to avoid debt collectors.

Seriously what was WITH troop numbers in the North? Roose and Batfinger were talking as if Satannis winning was a sure thing at the same time Stannis said he needed the Wildlings and Northern Lords. Then “fuck it we’ll do it live” so Satannis marches to Winterfell without getting anyone, and suddenly Roose is on about his defensive advantage and having stores for 6 months. And then the finale was all “surpirse army, bitches!” Something was funky there.

Also remember how Satannis won over the Iron Bank last season and pretty much got infinite resources? Shouldn’t he have like, used that more?
