Well I wasn't expecting any headcanons but I won't say no!

I'd say about there ^ unfortunately it isn't canon but she WOULD.

In the knowledge, of course, that Max is not one of your favourite characters (to put it lightly, haha), have you ever Challenged yourself by making a gifset of your favourite Max moments? You know, moments where you didn't hate him? Or maybe even liked him? 👀

I’ve been racking my brains for a while now to find a nice max moment and I just can’t seem to find it. am I too far gone in my hatred for max evans? maybe. 

so far, I came up with that scene of him and his mom in toy house where he’s trying to comfort her bc she can clearly see he’s hiding something from her (you know, after he saved her from that fire in her kitchen) but discarded it since it’s more like a ‘f you’ to diane since he basically tells her "I got a secret but I won’t tell you what it is, but it’s not bad, so chill and leave it alone, mom”

then I thought of him saving those kids in a roswell christmas carol, but I think we can all agree he did that for himself more than anything else, and him ‘saving’ them probably fucked up their lives down the line anyway so, NOT GREAT.

him saving liz? he did a good thing, yeah. but he did it because it was LIZ. I remember this fic I once read where it said that if maria had been shot, he wouldn’t have saved her. tbh, I think he would have. but only bc she was LIZ’S BEST FRIEND. now, a stranger? nah. he wouldn’t have saved some random person getting shot at the crashdown, no way. and yeah, yeah, yeah, he had a secret to protect, I know. let’s not go there, please.

HE SAVED KYLE! - yeah, he took his time, though. hesitated. HE HESITATED TO SAVE KING VALENTI! HOW DARE HE! srsly, wtf, max?!

At this point, I’m asking the ppl to tell me what are the good max moments. I’m sure there are. I’m just bad at finding them.

I did find a couple to be completely honest. I don’t know if they’re my FAVORITE moments, but definitely ones where I didn’t hate him. and maybe even liked him. “and which are those?”, you ask? well. there are TWO. and before I tell you which they are, please know I’m not trying to be funny, these are really the only two moments I found max evans likeable. 

that one time when he was six years old and healed that pigeon. 

when maria was the only waitress working at the crashdown and she gave the wrong amount of change to a customer, so max offered to take the money to the woman who had already crossed the street and getting into the UFO museum.

2. What’s next on your ‘to-read’ list? (Fan fiction or otherwise)

Hmmm.... nothing really fanfic wise? Though I think there’s another chapter of both Dominoes (Clone Wars) and Salvage (ATLA) I haven’t got around to reading yet. 

As for not fanfic, I’m rereading the Hobbit and then I MIGHT finally give Dune another crack cos I tried to read it a couple years back but couldn’t get into it and I kinda want to before the movie comes out cos my brother says it looks like a promising adaption. 

7. What’s the last thing you read that made you cry?

I feel like I haven’t cried because of a story for a WHILE...Tbh it’s probably something that @softgreysweaters wrote. maybe the Ruddiger fic they wrote. Or the au to the sun and moon au they wrote that hasn’t been posted and WREAKED ME (someone rec me stuff I need EMOTIONAL RELEASE) 

16. Describe your WIP that currently has the highest word count.

Can’t say This Is Not The End Of Me, This Is The Beginning cos I finished that. But uuh... hmm lemme go poke around my current short story WIPS and see which one has the most words. 

OKAY figured out which one. It’s got about 4,000 words so far and no title yet BUT basically a Team Awesome fic of Varian and Eugene ending up in a small village for reasons I haven’t figured out yet and Varian gets kidnapped to be left out as a sacrifice type thing for the ‘monster’ that’s been attacking the village and Eugene gets Protective.
