Anonymous: What kind of hate messages they send to you?
nothingwedomatters: Not just messages. People have reblogged with stuff in the captions of my photosets, etc.
But the section of fandom that hates Cordy, hates her for several reasons.
There are people who claim they loved her on AtS, but hated her on BtVS. There are people who claim they loved her on BtVS, but hated her on AtS.
Anything around those lines, to me, simply reads
[I BELIEVE THAT BITCHINESS IS MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE WITH BEING A ~GOOD PERSON~ AND THAT NICENESS IS MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE WITH BEING A ~BAD PERSON~]
I don’t like the word “bitch” (unless the person using that shit is owning it), but that’s generally the mindset.
Most of the hate I, myself, have encountered consists of the latter statement, but is usually thrown in with some talk of season 4 that, essentially, blames Cordelia for what was done to her.
There are also people who just claim they hate her, period. So.
