We were out there.. At Douglass in Leesburg. This is one of my daughter's favourite places so I have been waiting for the weather to be right. Good/Bad: [Good] Was nice not to be the only father there. None of them were interacting, engaged or participating but they were there. Several kids made friends and spoke to me. [Bad] No one spoke to Kaya. The stares get bigger as she does. She looks "normal" so no one understands why dad is speaking so close, holding her hand, sharing a swing, etc. I used to stare back and/or aggress but Kaya doesnt seem to care about them so now I dont either. She never stops teaching me. (Oh yeah, independent swinging is still a comfort we are adding to her skillset but she killed it today]. #teamdisabilities #autismcangetthesehands #multiabled #nothingwillstopus (at Douglass Community Center)

Today we went to the Sahara Desert and rode quad bikes, sand buggies, camels, donkeys and horses. Along with a crazy jeep ride where the driver opened the door and drove hanging out the car. Love adventures with these two. #gotthisdown #sahara #egypt #nothingwillstopus

Most times we never talk about our trials that help us to appreciate all the good in our lives. On the way to Isaiah's tournament in NYC I was transporting my son's car to him at college when the bolt holding the engine snapped and it fell causing the trans to hit the ground while we were driving in the parkway. It was God's grace that my ❤ was following me in my car and a tow truck was right behind him allowing the car to be moved into safety quickly and that it was me driving the car not my son alone.. Us working together got everything in order and Isaiah to NYC after being delayed a few hours but nonetheless he had a great weekend and the starting 5 players walked away with offers. The best part is you would never know that Isaiah was dealing with anything the way he played and we were all there to support him regardless! #familystrong #nothingwillstopus
