oh for the freshman advice: make sure to get involved in an Honor Society or two and get a lot of volunteer hours! Use summers to volunteer in local programs. Also really push yourself to get good grades in freshman year, goofing off or not getting the best grade you feel you can earn can really knock down your GPA in your senior year. (sorry i couldn't find your submit)

yes volunteer hours are huge!  And freshman year grades do count!
