I’ve seen a post circling around twitter again and this is my biggest blog so let’s talk about this:

this is the most obviously fake shit I have ever seen in my entire life. They were a blog who had reblogged a few zayn malik pictures, with this as their ONLY text post. I have SEEN these posts before! Aphobes make hyperbolic posts like this to make aspec people look bad and y’all eat this shit up! Notice that despite non-binary people being in the same category, all the hate has been directed at aspec people.

I’ve gone through the notes. Not all of them, but enough. There are a few people who understand that the blog is a troll, but maybe only 1/200 do. You will all fall for the most obvious shit not because you actually BELIEVE people think this, but because it’s easier to pretend you do to ‘justify’ your unnecessary hatred of aspec people. Be critical of the posts around you, stop making yourself look like a bunch of idiotic assholes by falling for this. Do NOT let hate control you.

Solarpunk is about positivity and togetherness. We will NEVER be together if we keep letting people like this drive us apart. If you enjoy hating on an entire group of people — be they ace or aro, lesbian or bi, gay or trans, nonbinary or anything else! — you do not hold the ideals of this movement and you are not welcome on this blog.

I want some new roleplay pals so I was thinking of advertising a discord server on here? It’s a modern supernatural world based on the lore of my WIP. OCs and canon characters adapted to fit the lore are allowed. not sure if anybody would be really interested?

My favourite thing was when I finally got to play dnd and at the end of the session they were like ‘wow you really seem to know your stuff, have you played a lot before?’ and I had to explain that I’m utterly obsessed with a game I had played exactly three or four times about half a year ago

The solarpunk movement is all about optimism, which is a really hard thing to maintain in today's world. People are being shown proof of the doomsday sceanario we are catapulting towards and still refuse to admit anything is wrong for fear of losing profits if they shut down their oil companies.

But we must remember that power corrupts. Not everyone in the world is bad. This is an inactive niche blog in the corner of a hell hole website and yet I've still managed to obtain over 1000 followers. That's 1000 people that care. So imagine how many other people care, how many people are fighting. This is our planet, not their's. We continue the fight, we continue the punk movement because if you aren't the first to take a stand who the fuck else will? Write to government officials, join protests, educate others – if you see something you can be apart of, do it! Don't wait around for the world to be fixed.

Solarpunk isn't about being passively optimistic that everything will work out, it's being optimistic that what you're fighting for is worth it, and that other's are fighting too.
