Shortly after the Noto Peninsula Charity Event "Challenge", another disaster struck: massive flooding. The shelters for the victims of the earthquake that occured at the beginning of the year were also affected by the flood.
In a call for help, the Juzo Shrine in Ishikawa prefecture made an Amazon wishlist with needed supplies for the victims.
Please, do consider helping out!
Every time I see a tsunami warning, for Japan, I do a quick Google to see what will be lost if it's as devastating of a tsunami as Fukushima was. 1/1/24 1:15am PST

Mitsukejima Island - Noto Hanto
Mitsukejima (also known as a battleship island), is located in Iida Bay in the North Eastern Noto Peninsula. You can walk to the island's base if you are there at low tide. However, when we visited the site, it was just after the recent earthquake and the path was closed.
The island is also a famous site for lovers, looking for that special someone to visit.
