Reserve staff acted immediately and he was sent to an orphanage for proper care and monitoring. He was treated as normal for a while but suddenly took a turn for the worse. He became very weak with a low blood glucose and low temperature. Together with the attending vet, Dr. N, it was decided to keep him warm with a space blanket and extra layers, while Dr. N expertly inserted an intravenous catheter in his ear veins to administer two drips, including the excellent Nutriflex that will supply him with much needed fats, electrolytes and proteins.
