George Whitman, Allen Ginsberg , & Lawrence Ferlinghetti at Shakespeare and Co bookstore, Paris, December 1982. George and Lawrence met eachother while studying at the Sorbonne in Paris in 1948, & became lifelong friends. Both opened stores within a few short years.
