🇨🇵 𝔢𝔫 𝔪𝔢𝔪𝔬𝔦𝔯𝔢 𝔡𝔢 𝔑𝔬𝔱𝔯𝔢 𝔇𝔞𝔪𝔢 ⛪ Devastated by the news today, I scrapped my regularly planned #makeupmonday post for this tribute to the #notredamefire. . I clearly have a lot of intense feelings regarding what happened. If you're curious about those you can read them on my personal account ⚜ @ianawi ⚜ but I didn't want to use this space to repost a long caption. Keepin this makeup focused. . Paying tribute like this was the only thing helping me process our loss today. I listened to my favorite French music and painted myself. Artistic expression has always helped me process grief and sorrow. The irony was I had to stop crying in order to apply the makeup. But when I was taking these shots, they started up again, as you can see on the second slide. Yep, those are real tears. . 🇨🇵 : First, I flattened my eyebrow with a gluestick. Then each color was done in @bennyemakeup magicake aqua paint. Next I put a metallic version of the color on top to set it. . 🔵: Metallic blue I used was @katvondbeauty heavy metals in Paranoia, which is too light for this flag, so underneath it I used the black Ben Nye magicake aqua paint. . ⚪: Ben Nye white magicake with Ben Nye Lumière Luxe Powder on top. . 🔴: Ben Nye red magicake with @sugarpill Asylum loose powder eyeshadow on top. . 🔥: @stargazerproducts UV neon eyeliner in orange and yellow UV eyeshadow on top, with grey eyeshadow smoke. Last slide shows how #uvreactive it is! I think it looks better in the uv light actually. This is my first attempt at fire and I'm pretty proud of myself, cos I didn't look at any reference photos. . 👁: earthtones from KVD Monarch palette, Stargazer black liquid eyeliner. . 💋: @sephora collection Chai with @limecrimemakeup Salem to deepen the middle. . You all know I am sentimental about art and architecture. This is a little tribute I put together...I just started playing around with a public domain image after viewing so many Notre Dame photos online today. They were able to save some of it and the relics, but wow...what a tragedy! . . I have traveled a lot and have been to France, but believe it or not...I haven’t been to Paris.
