Theo turned the page, and paused at the sudden feeling of cold dread touching his spine. He quickly turned the page back and waited for the feeling to dissipate.

It didn't take long.

"Sorry," he muttered. The ghost that haunted Nott’s Neap didn't always read as fast as he did.

In 1995 - Harry Potter met Theodore Nott.

In 2007 - a dream came true.

Excerpt

He looked up, his dark gaze meeting Harry’s as he set his cup down. The rumble and noise of the hall fell away as if somehow Nott had extended his circle of peace to envelop Harry too, keeping him safe from the gossiping student body. Harry watched Theo stand and gather his things, never breaking eye contact as his lips slowly curled into the barest hint of a smirk.

Just what is his game? Harry thought, noticing the same dark expression cloud Nott’s face. He swung his bag onto his shoulder and ran a hand through his hair, tousling his curls. Harry followed the thumb he ran down the side of his lip, before locking gazes once more. Nott flashed him a crooked grin, the darkness lightening, and then he turned and left the hall, leaving Harry thoroughly off-kilter.

Summary: Pressured into picking up a new hobby by his flatmate Hermione, Harry Potter is surprised by how much he enjoys taking art classes. What’s even better than making something beautiful with his hands is that no one in class realizes he is the famous war hero and Quidditch player due to polyjuice. That is, until a familiar face shows up as a nude model in his figure drawing class and throws him for a loop. Can Harry keep his cool around Theo Nott, or will his whole world go from Paul Cézanne to Jackson Pollock?

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you my subpar first attempt at LoveNott!

Her voice rose, signaling the end of the song was near. It warbled, heartbroken and ethereal.

Theo felt like his soul had left his body. It was hovering, somewhere on the ceiling, watching this waif of a woman who had just softly spilled her entire being onto the floor of an empty coffee shop.

Just as abruptly, she stepped around the microphone, lightly bounded off the riser, and left the café. The bell tinkled, and the door clicked shut.

Heavy stillness reigned in her absence. It took twenty seconds for Theo to realize he’d stopped breathing. He gasped in air, feeling lightheaded and off-kilter.

What the inglorious fuck?

OR: Theodore Nott is a barista near the campus of his university by night and an art student desperate for inspiration by day. One evening, just before closing, a mysterious woman walks up to the open mic and sings to the otherwise-empty café. Predictably, she becomes his muse.
