A scene inspired by @wixenforever’s NottPott fic, The Burning of The Library. Its great, I love it, and I love the scenes Snape happens to be in and how he reacts to Harry and Theo’s friendship. Its like he forgot he had a best friend once huh? Hence this was born.

@jundsthoughts @wixenforever :))) I love Snape. He’s a right bastard and I would read all books from his Pov. Theo called Snape out once and it has not left him alone since. Let it simmer, he will get it…eventually. In his own, dark, miserable, Severus way.

One of the things I love about The Heir to the House of Prince is that it does what a lot of those “heir/lordship” fics don’t, which is it allows Harry to still just be Harry. So many of these fics focus on Harry leaning into the pureblood politics of it all and focusing on learning the etiquette and stuff (even sometimes bashing muggleborns or muggle culture) which is fine, that’s it’s own genre.

But THTTHOP has Harry and others come into these heirships/lordships without compromising the fact that Harry is also still just a muggle-raised kid who was thrust into a magical world where it turns out he’s famous for the worst thing that ever happened to him (losing his family), and he vividly sees all the discrimination toward muggleborns and halfbloods including his brilliant best friend, his favorite professor, and the first person to ever get him a birthday gift. The way this fic depicts Harry’s journey into politics by leaning on the strengths of his new Slytherin friends without letting all of it change him at his core is really something.

Also, I love that he basically brushes off his unique magical abilities like, “What? It’s magic. No one told me I couldn’t do that so I just did it!”

My Opinions on Harry Potter Ships #1

Romione (Ron Weasley/Hermione Granger): Love them down, from the books to the films. These are my babies, and they're to die for <33

Harmione (Harry Potter/Hermione Granger): They're cute, but I do prefer them as friends (or at least with Ron in the mix, Romionarry for the win).

Hinny (Harry Potter/Ginny Weasley): Never really cared for them, from the books nor the films (but especially the films). I do think they're cute and work really well together, plus I love their interactions in fanfics and prefer for them to be as close as possible.

Ronarry (Ron Weasley/Harry Potter): Yes, I love them so much. Harry was down bad, like he loved this boy more than anything.

Drarry (Draco Malfoy/Harry Potter): Love it. The fanfics are always so spectacular, I'm just not a big fan of the popular "buff, macho man Harry" and the "sassy, twink Draco" dynamic thing going on, It's just not for me personally.

NottPott (Theodore Nott/Harry Potter): Yessssssss! I love love love them. Their dynamic is always so interesting to read about in fics. I sometimes like them better than Drarry.

Dron (Draco Malfoy/Ron Weasley): Another pairing I never cared for, but I do think their better enemies to lovers than Drarry and Dramione combined. Like the hatred burns deep between the two families.

Dramione (Draco Malfoy/Hermione Granger): Used to be so obsessed with them as a teen, but now I'm just really not into it. It's still decent, I just don't seek it out or care all to much for it.

Lunarry (Luna Lovegood/Harry Potter): Omg yes! These two are my favorites, and I love them together. They're so adorable! <3

Nevarry (Neville Longbottom/Harry Potter: YES! YES! YES! YES!! I love the whole "Chosen One" and "Prophecy child" thing that they got going on, It's just so good. Plus, I love Neville and Harry (individually) so much, so this is just heaven for me.

Pansmione (Pansy Parkinson/Hermione Granger): It's the lesbian/sapphic version of Dramione to me, but I actually prefer them over Dramione. I love the fanart for them, always so gorgeous! <33

Hedric (Cedric Diggory/Harry Potter): Personally, I've never seen it, but I don't mind it. I love Cedric x Cho more.

Charry (Harry Potter/Cho Chang): No. I have nothing against it, really, but they've just never clicked for me. No spark. I again love Cho x Cedric more.

Dransy (Draco Malfoy/Pansy Parkinson): I can get behind it, but I much prefer them as bestfriends.

Hansy (Harry Potter/Pansy Parkinson): Straight version of Drarry to me, so yeah, I do love this. Their fanart is fantastic too.

Deamus (Dean Thomas/Seamus Finnigan): They're canon, I swear..

Ginmione (Ginny Weasley/Hermione Granger): Don't mind it, but I definitely prefer Romione and Hinny over it. They really just give besties or in-laws to me, idk.

Drastoria (Draco Malfoy/Astoria Greengrass): YESSSSSS!! My favorite Draco ship forever and ever. He loved his wife so so so much, and would do anything for her or to be with her. They're so freaking cute! <3333

Lovander (Rolf Scamander/Luna Lovegood): It's cute and decent, and I really love the fact that Luna got with a Scamander. I think that's just so perfect and right.

“nah, the nott’s have always been evil. way before they joined you-know-who,” ron said with a snort, as though this was as well-known a fact as the colour of grass.

“oh? how so?” harry asked, distractedly. his eyes found their way towards the slytherin table. specifically towards theodore nott, who currently was currently yawning over a piece of toast as tracy davis braided his hair.

ron rolled his eyes, “everyone knows it. the notts came over with the vikings, seem to forget they aren’t warriors anymore. you’d be hard pressed to find a nott in the family tree that hasn’t killed one of their own.”

hermione perked up, adding something about an old article she read about nott’s mother dying in mysterious circumstances, but harry wasn’t listening anymore.

he was, of course, looking at nott again.

the boy in question had rolled his sleeves up, revealing those absolutely fascinating runic tattoos that decorated his arms. catching harry’s eye, nott raised an eyebrow at him.

harry felt his cheeks heat up, and ducked his head back down, suddenly fascinated by the half-eaten scrambled eggs on his own plate.

yes, the notts were very evil indeed.
