violet writes?? Wow!!
CW: implied torture, implied capture, implied experimentation, implied murder, also mood swings kind of?
my writing always feels so rushed and weird, could anyone tell me how to help with that?

"Can I get you anything to drink, ma'am?" She snapped out of her daze, looking up at the waiter.
"No thank you, just a water maybe. Thanks."
The server smiled and walked away, leaving only the woman and her guest.
They stared at each other for an everlasting moment, daring the other one to speak. The woman's heartbeat echoed in her chest like thunder.
Finally, the man- the guest- spoke. "We aren't in high school anymore," he scoffed. "Why are you still passing notes?"
Olivia looked at him, her mood changing quickly and seething. "Don't talk to me like that. It's been thirteen years and you haven't even glanced at me, you murderer. My daughter is dead because of you." She hissed.
David mirrored her expression. "Don't pretend like you're the only one who's suffered a loss. You reported my best friends to the police, where they're most likely being tortured if they aren't dead already."
Olivia leaned back in the booth where they were sitting and took deep breaths, trying to compose herself. Switching her mood on a dime. "Look, I just want to talk with you. Can we do that?"
"Fine. If you want to talk, let's talk."
Olivia nodded. "Great."
"I want to team up."
David almost spit out his water. "Are you kidding? Did you forget or do I have to remind you how horrible of a team we are?"
"No, no, I know. I was just thinking, we have similar objectives.
Why don't we combine our strength and use it to get what we want?"
David eyed her mysteriously. How does she know what I want? And why does she want the same?
Which is when he remembered the mission.
Her getting captured.
Tortured.
Experimented on.
Worse.
Olivia snapped her fingers in front of his face, bringing him out of his daze. "Well?"
David paused. Did he really want to do this? It had been so long since they worked together. Would they still have the same touch they used to have?
"Let's do it."
