THE MONSTER BALL TOUR: LADY GAGA BACKSTAGE
In this post we’re breaking down some of the cool looks Lady Gaga wore backstage when meeting her fans after her “The Monster Ball Tour” shows!
After the show, Gaga usually lounged backstage or met fans always wearing a luxurious black silk robe with feathered shoulders or ostrich feather robes in red, purple and white - all custom Perry Meek.
But she liked to switch things up here and there!
Gaga brought the “Monster Ball” to the Scotiabank Place in Canada.
Backstage, she wore her fave vintage Saint Laurent double-breasted grey blazer along with one of Maison Margiela’s many signature four stitch label T-shirts.
I’m sure you all know by now that her shades are these vintage Jean Paul Gaultier 56-8171 treasures.
On December 17, 2009 Lady Gaga performed at the Pearl Concert Theater in Vegas.
During the M&G, she sported this archive Dior Homme black half wool half satin paneled blazer from the Spring/Summer 2007 “We Look Good Together” collection, along with a custom Keko Hainswheeler ruffled organza and feather shoulder piece.
After her 2009 New Year’s Eve show at the Knight Center in Miami, Gaga wore this black wool blazer with gold-tone studded leather pockets and embellished collar from Versace’s Fall/Winter 1992 bondage-themed “Miss S&M” collection!
She complemented the look with a pair of vintage Versace 372/DM 852 BK sunglasses, a fetish latex officer cap and matching ankle booties.
In January 2010, Gaga met some lucky fans while rocking this interesting Maison Margiela Fall/Winter 2009 black cape coat with concealed button front.
She combined the look with vintage Jean Paul Gaultier silver 56-8171 sunglasses.
On May 21st, a group of lucky fans got the oppurtunity to chill with Lady Gaga backstage at the Monster Ball which took place at the Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy.
The Italian-American fashionista sported a custom Giorgio Armani tulle catsuit, embellished with thousands of crystals in various sizes, shapes and lengths. The catsuit is the sister piece to the nude version she wore at the Grammys months prior this occasion.
All Swarovski crystals were embroidered by Transfermania International S.R.L.
Gaga accessorized the look with silver metal and blue lenses 56-0174 sunglasses by Jean Paul Gaultier. These stunners were made in the 90s in Japan.
We can barely see them but she also wore matching blue embellished platform ankle boots, which were also signed by Giorgio Armani (similar pictured).
After her show at the LG Arena in Marston Green, UK on May 28, 2010 Lady Gaga hung out with a couple of fans backstage.
Styled by Nicola Formichetti, the Italian-American beauty opted for an interesting piece from Central Saint Martin’s alumni Matthew Harding.
The white pleated bodice, which is part of his Fall/Winter 2010 collection, features a high neckline, a sleeveless design and peplum bottom.
Her triple rivets delights are F.D.R. (Frankling Delano Roosevelt) by Tart Optical Enterprises eyewear collection, from Jack’s Eyewear store in LA, produced by the legendary eyewear maker back in the 50s.
Gaga received four World Music Awards during her stay at the Manchester Evening News Arena on June 3, 2010.
She wore a vintage Norma Kamali silver-tone studded black stretch bodysuit from Rare Vintage with the same Tart Optical Enterprises sunnies...

Backstage, Gaga made herself comfortable in the La Perla Azaela black stretch silk satin kimono robe with hand-finished embroidered Leavers lace in precious floral motif accents using the signature frastaglio technique.
Two months later in April, Gaga was seen relaxing in her favorite Chalayan Fall/Winter 2009 “Earthbound” collection oversized distressed leather biker jacket which she combined with a Noudar diamond pendant necklace...
...and a pair of spiked shield sunglasses. They have to brand and are available everywhere on the internet.
