BACK IN TIME: LADY GAGA IN RICK OWENS F/W09

"Days off in the AZ Desert: Cactus fashion + Tequila. Can't make me take off my leather, I would rather faint." Lady Gaga tweeted on July 29th, 2010.

Judging by the details, I strongly believe Gaga wore an off-the-runway version of one of the futuristic leather jackets from Rick Owens' Fall/Winter 2009 collection titled "Crust" - a dark, sculptural line exploring themes of protection and raw elegance.

Gaga's jacket features the same sharp sleeve endings, chevron stitchwork on the front panel and big draped neck.

She accessorized the punk look with another pair from her large eyewear collection – the GFF 101 round gold vintage 1980s beauties by Gianfranco Ferrè from Jack’s Eyewear store in LA.

Gaga’s nude heel-less Nightmaker leather platform ankle boots were custom-made for her by Noritaka Tatehana.

BACK IN TIME: LADY GAGA ON “MUSIC STATION” 2009

Back on June 12, 2009 Lady Gaga was invited to Japanese talk show “Music Station” to hold a couple special performances! Here’s what she wore.

For her interview, our girl rocked a bespoke Jeremy Scott blue denim bodysuit with exaggerated shoulders, 3/4 sleeves and silver brass buttons.

She later had that exact piece embellished with rhinestones for her “Fame Ball” world tour, as you can discover right here!

Her eyewear of choice that day were the Alpina Gold Wing shield shades she purchased from Jack’s Eyewear in Los Angeles.

Her punk-inspired cuff is this Spencer’s piece, featuring pyramid studs and spikes.

Her boots are the KTZ Fall/Winter 2009 “Future Afrika Tribe” collection black lace-up beauties with square-shaped toes.

For her “Just Dance” performance, Gaga switched into a nude catsuit with curl pattern made of plush black velvet from DRESSCAMP’s Fall/Winter 2009 collection.

The black silk snood headscarf was custom-made for her by Muto-Little Costumes.

Both of her statement cocktail rings rings are signed by nOir Jewelry. One features silver cones while the other features pavéd pyramids.

She completed the look with her favorite Givenchy Fall/Winter 2008 black leather open-toe Velcro strap wedge ankle boots.

BACK IN TIME: LADY GAGA ATTENDS ORANGE ROCKCORPS IN JEAN-CHARLES DE CASTELBAJAC

Orange RockCorps held a photocall and small press conference in Gaga’s London hotel room before the singer left en route to her own show at O2 Manchester Apollo on July 13, 2009.

Fun, funniest, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac!

The songstress turned up in a “Animal” Muppet-inspired black and pink faux fur, plush material and satin dress with tuxedo-inspired bodice featuring a pink-lined draped collar and shoulder pads from the French designer’s Fall/Winter 2009 collection.

Her oversized shield sunglasses are the Goldwing by Alpina she purchased at Jack’s Eyewear in downtown LA.

Backstage at RockCorps, Gaga also held on to the “Animal” muppet muff (that can also be worn as a bag) from the same Jean-Charles de Castelbajac collection. The face is made of leather appliqués while the eyebrows are made of faux fur.

Lastly, Gaga wore a pair of black leather wedge booties with doorknocker detail and attached ankle strap by Parisian artisanal label Munoz Vrandecic.

BACK IN TIME: LADY GAGA APPEARS ON THE ROVE IN VINTAGE ALAÏA, CHANEL, MARGIELA & HAUS OF GAGA

Back on May 17, 2009 Lady Gaga appeared for a second time on Australia’s TV show Rove hosted by comedian Rove McManus where she discussed fashion, her debut album “The Fame” and even performed her song “LoveGame”!

Gagaloo sat down for her interview, wearing a white edition of this vintage Alaïa rayon-blend stretch cocktail dress which features a deep V-neck, an even deeper V-back, and a pleated ruffle hem which moves gracefully with its wearer.

She matched it with her braided tower wig, white lace gloves and a pair of Chanel white patent leather and PVC T-bar wedge sandals with metallic gold platforms from the Spring/Summer 2007.

Backstage, she rocked her favorite Maison Margiela Spring/Summer 2007 boxy black satin blazer with shawl lapel, squared shoulders and slit pockets...

...with her Alpina Gold Wing shield shades she purchased from Jack’s Eyewear in Los Angeles.

For the “LoveGame” performance, the Italian-American singer wore a bespoke Haus of Gaga purple sequined asymmetrical bodysuit with a single leg, shoulder pads and abstract red panel across the shoulder and chest.

Her Saint Laurent leather ankle booties with mirrored heels completed the look.

BACK IN TIME: WALMART SOUNDCHECK SESSIONS

Lady Gaga did an audienceless performance of her ‘The Fame’ hit singles at the Walmart Soundcheck Sessions in Los Angeles on May 9, 2009.

Photographer Aaron Rapoport was there to take some amazing portrait shots.

The superstar rocked a black sequinned pagoda shoulder catsuit with semi-sheer asymmetrical panels, custom-made for her by her design team Haus of Gaga.

The Alpina shades are a repeat for Gaga. The Gold Wing shield model was purchased during her shopping trip at Jack’s Eyewear in Los Angeles.

Gaga wore a pair of the Dress black leather button and stitchwork detail gloves by Gaspar with her look as well.

A pair of Chanel Spring/Summer 2009 black satin bow peep-toe ankle booties completed the look.

Lady Gaga was photographed arriving at Tegel Airport in Berlin on September 6th, 2009 ahead of her “Heartbeats” mini press tour around Europe!

BACK IN TIME: LADY GAGA DEPARTS AT LAX IN MAISON MARTIN MARGIELA, MARK & ESTEL, ALPINA & YSL

BACK IN TIME: LADY GAGA WEARS MANISH ARORA IN IRELAND

Lady Gaga visited the Punchestown Racecourse in Naas, Ireland on July 12, 2009 where she stopped for a quick photo with a lucky fan.

Gaga wore a full look from Manish Arora’s Sci-Fi inspired Fall/Winter 2009 collection.

The structured crop top features a striking high neckline and sculptural sleeves, adorned with a dreamy, mirrored print that evokes celestial mystique, blending natural elements with abstract forms. Delicate leopard print butterflies flutter across a pale backdrop, while a regal peacock subtly emerges as a centerpiece of the design—a nod to Arora’s penchant for Indian-inspired motifs with a futuristic twist.

The lantern skirt amplifies the drama with its voluminous silhouette and rich, vivid imagery. The fabric is an intricate tableau of otherworldly landscapes, bold leopard prints, and fantastical pink lions—mirror-imaged for hypnotic symmetry—set against a backdrop of stormy blues and golden accents.
