Finally read the Moon Rising comic and it made me miss WoF a lot ;; I still haven’t read the last book of the main series alkjdsf

I don’t like being mean regarding the comic art bc I know a lot of people rag on it but idk it seems like it’s taken a bit of a dip since the last comics? It’s not that big of a deal, I do wish they’d just have given the dragons the shorter legs they had in the book arts, but more than anything I was just really excited to see the Jade Winglet, I still love them so much ;; Sure it may be reading too much into it but I feel like my chonky Turtle hc was kinda validated lol! I liked his stubby nose and horns, I also really loved how Winter was colored!

Finished Flames of Hope, it was fine lol

I did like some of the reveals but man it was a huge case of "integral stuff never mentioned before coming out of absolute nowhere in one huge lore dump at the end". But the way it all kinda wrapped back around to pre-arc 1 stuff we already knew about was pretty cool, just wish it had been executed better (but that's like every WoF finale tbh lol)

Tbh I'm a little confused on what "The Dangerous Gift" was? Like.. I thought it was the gift of vision but that wasn't "dangerous" in any way~ especially after you learn about what it actually is

As much as I love WoF, and in acknowledgement of it’s other more serious issues, one thing that has always frustrated me is how the size ratios in this world make no sense at all. I remember in Darkstalker the mentioning of Darkstalker and his family sharing 2(?) hawks for dinner and I just....... how?? Given how tiny hawks should be based on the scale of humans, that would be like a family of 4 sharing one half of a potato chip. Not to mention SandWings eating insects, things that should be MICROSCOPIC to them. And then all of a sudden in Dragonslayer there’s a mention of mice that are the size of dogs compared to a human?? Since when????? The animals can’t suddenly be scaled up because horses are the same normal size and so are goats, squirrels and rabbits. 

It’s just one of those things that feels like nails on a chalkboard whenever it comes up in a book because it’s so aggravating to think about wheezes
