This was a really experimental piece for me. I wanted to try drawing something in a more realistic style and using a slightly different painting technique. I chose to draw my character Nova because she's just so fun to draw.

Welp, here’s that Animal Crossing inspired story I wrote. It’s a scary story but I hope you like it.

This is a character of mine called Nova Ray. As she’s relatively new and I haven’t really drawn her that much, it was really fun to work on this piece. At some point in the future, I really want to make a comic with her as the lead character, which I am coming up with idea’s for.
This piece was drawn in Procreate and I downloaded an amazing Kopik marker brush to experiment with. It made blending an absolute delight and made the puff of smoke really fun to colour. I also experimented with a paper texture on this one, which gives the Kopik Marker brush a nice bit of added texture. I used a pastel colour palette because I really love pastels.
