Ice Mummies: Siberian Ice Maiden (1998) | Secrets of an Ancient Warrior 🏔️👑
sometimes i’ll look up the opening credits to nova science now on youtube and try to recapture my childhood
What if dark matter doesn’t exist and our science is basically a kid who’s grown up with certain rules as a norm, never realizing that chanting to a flag every morning is not necessary, or that you can eat candy during the week

Hey Nova Science Now,
I’m normally a huge fan! Really! But the episode that just came up in my reruns was UTTERLY INSULTING and contained FACTUAL INACCURACIES- and of course was about autism.
1) My life is not a tragedy, and I am NOT broken, thank you. It is harder, yes. I’m Disabled, yes. But I have a different developmental trajectory, not a broken one. My genes are slightly different- not broken. Disability is not a tragedy, though how people tend to treat people with disabilities IS. And this language makes it harder, puts us in more danger.
2) WHY THE HELL DID YOU PUT SOMEONE ON YOUR SCREEN WHO CALLED IT A DEATH SENTENCE??? It’s NOT a death sentence!!! It has no DIRECT link to life expectancy! Though when you feature people like this, it certainly bumps up the chances we’ll be victims of filicide!
3) There’s hope, period. Everyone can learn, and just. there’s a hint of this in the clip, but it got overwhelmed by the TRAGEDY and the CURE language. It treated it like it was depended on the mom who you featured who told everyone it was a death sentence!Just because you can’t tell that we are learning, doesn’t mean we aren’t. Some of us learn slower! Some of us will gain expressive language, some will gain modified expressive language, and some will gain only minimal non-verbal expressive communication. But we still learn! Even those who are also Intellectually Disabled learn, at their own pace! UGH!!!!
Love,
a very frustrated autistic fan
Ancient Aliens: We cannot, today, with our modern technology, replicate this.
Nova Science Now: If I were using modern tools this would take between 45 minutes to an hour.
Documentary Week 5: How Smart are Animals?
This is a short overview of some different animals and their intellectual abilities. It is extremely simple, there's not a whole lot of hard science or in depth explanation. But it's entertaining, upbeat, and the animal footage is cute. I think this would be a great one to show to young kids.
Happiest sound ever to my eaaaars
