choleric;
choleric people are the proud, extroverted 'alphas' of our species.
cholerics people are leaders and directors. they seek to be in control of situations, to be on top, to be the best. this doesn't necessarily mean that they are all driven to reach the top of the corporate ladder or anything, or that they all want to have leadership roles, but in day-to-day interactions with other people, they have a tendency towards one-upsmanship. their confidence and demanding natures make them natural leaders, though this doesn't mean that they would necessarily enjoy leadership positions; they're just more likely to take charge if necessary rather than fumbling around worrying.
chaotic good;
a chaotic good character acts as his conscience directs him with little regard for what others expect of him. he makes his own way, but he's kind and benevolent. he believes in goodness and right but has little use for laws and regulations. he hates it when people try to intimidate others and tell them what to do. he follows his own moral compass, which, although good, may not agree with that of society.
while creatures of this alignment view freedom and the randomness of actions as ultimate truths, they likewise place value on life and the welfare of each individual. respect for individualism is also great. by promoting the philosophy of chaotic good, characters of this alignments seek to spread their values throughout the world. to the chaotic good individual, freedom and independence are as important to life and happiness. the ethos views this freedom as the only means by which each creature can achieve true satisfaction and happiness. law, order, social forms, and anything else which tends to restrict or abridge individual freedom is wrong, and each individual is capable of achieving self-realization and prosperity through himself, herself, or itself.

❝ i took a deep breath and listened to the old bray of my heart. i am. i am. i am. ❞ - sylvia plath → nova emmanuel, task 005: hakuna matata (that’s our motto)
It’s hard to pinpoint one day that’s better than every other, but if she had to pick one, she’d pick Thursday. Thursday is the day that she takes a different route to work in the morning, the one that passes through the park with the man selling roses. She buys one every morning and hands it to someone who looks lonely while on her way to work. Thursdays are always the day she gets the most work done, they’re the day she suddenly realizes how close to the end of the week she is, the day she got adopted was a Thursday. Every day is pretty great, though, it’s hard to pick just one.
Sometimes, it takes strength to be able to do something, but in other situations, it takes strength to force yourself to be quiet, to stay in line, to not make a mistake.
Nova ran into this during the 119th games.
Most of the programming was done by the time they had gotten to launch day, and she could leave the remaining smaller tasks to subordinates. She was the head of programming, there was no need for her to be running last minute and day of fixes to the code she had spent hundreds of hours working on.
The meant she got to have fun, controlling things in the arena, doing surveillance in creative ways, like through the eyes of a little dinosaur in the fifth sector, a dinosaur that two siblings happened to run into early on.
At the beginning, it was all fun and games, using the mutt to nibble at Magnolia’s clothing or give weird looks to Axel, “leading them” around the arena (she was just having Charlie walk around the sector to no specific destination, they were bound to stumble upon food at one point or another). But Nova found herself getting attached to the young girl through the dinosaur she was controlling. Every time the girl checked back in with the mutt by her side, it made Nova smile.
And when her brother died, Nova wanted to hold the poor girl close to her chest, to stroke her hair, to offer her a tissue and companionship. But she couldn’t, she had to do so through the dinosaur, through head nudges and nibbles and just letting the poor girl hold him while she cried.
She wasn’t allowed to have favorites or bet on people, but if she was allowed to, she would have bet on Nolie.
That was a dangerous thought, that was the closest she had gotten to a tribute since she started working as a gamemaker, and it was something that Nova knew could easily get her caught.
She couldn’t risk it, couldn’t take the chance that she would do something that got her fired, so when it was time for the big T-Rex in the fifth sector to be released, Nova did what she had to do through teary eyes, “saving” the girl’s life by sacrificing the life of the tiny dinosaur.
There is not a moment that goes by when she does not regret this decision, knowing that she could have saved the girl’s life for real if she had let the dinosaur travel with her to the end. However, that is where her strength lies, in stopping herself from making decisions based on emotion instead of reason.
What a stupid strength to have, she wishes she could lift cars or something tnstead.
