The fact that Aang's son and Toph's daughter were together will always affect me as a Taang shipper. Sorry, but Lin is Tenzin's true love; I'll never see it any other way (and she still loves him). He literally got with Pema just because she wanted children just like him. That's not an argument than make them the most interesting relationship, nor does it make Pema Tenzin's true love for me. He love her, of course, but she is clearly not his true/great love for me.

(On sick leave, so I can spend time in bed drawing my comfort characters. I really liked the Arcane influence on my last Lin sketch, so I thought I lean into it.)

not to get niche but its so important that it was tenzin who broke up with lin. especially for who they are we meet them. lin beifong, who we meet as an unflinching, unyielding force of a police chief, had her heart broken by tenzin, who we meet as a high strung air bender with control issues. lin beifong, a character who is by no means affectionate at the beginning, was broken up with. and it was so upsetting she trashed air temple island. it was so world-altering that they don't talk and haven't for over a decade despite living in the same city. it was so terrible that it took the reincarnation of his father to throw them back together. it was so awful and they missed each other. it was so horrible and they want to be friends again. it was so terrible and she sacrificed herself for his family. because they knew each other so deeply and it was so sweet that even in the bitter pain of a decade of contempt the love was still there.

Out of all men who became involved with the Beifong baddies, Bataar is the only one who did not fumble. That would always be so fucking crazy to me.

Lao Beifong fumbled the OG Beifong baddie, Poppy Beifong. Plus, he also fumbled as a father.

At least two men fumbled Toph but we all know she a player. BUT STILL. Her baby daddies fumbled bad.

Tenzin made a generational fumble with Lin. Bro you already had Lin, left her to have your airbabies then Harmonic Convergence happened and spawned airbenders out of thin ain, literally. Bro if I was Tenzin, I would have crashed out so bad.

Bolin almost fumbled Opal but he got his shit together. Our resident himbo got back on the 2nd half.

Su is a real one for not sleeping on nerds. Ladies, if you want guys who won't cheat on you or do shit to lose you, don't sleep on the nerds.
