I still don’t get why Eugene’s return was even about Eugene; oh, wah wah, you helped create NovaCom’s evil mind controlling technology, how awful, but did we forget that your wife’s father was literally MURDERED?!
Why are we not focusing on Katrina’s trauma??!?? Would it be too hard for the writers to have let her take center stage on the return?! Like, her new husband literally created the tech that her father protested against and that protest lead to his death!
Like, it’s literally not even a stretch to say that if Eugene hadn’t figured the science out, Armitage wouldn’t have been killed
And it’s not Eugene’s fault, but why couldn’t the writers explore Katrina coming to terms with her father’s murder and Eugene’s part in it. It would’ve been way more interesting to see their relationship develop and mature in that context
But it probably would’ve been a bit dark for kids - I say as if that arc doesn’t feature multiple murders, federal crimes, and homosexuals
