Hitchcocktober 😱 🔪Day 7: Young and Innocent 💀 This one has a number of things going for it, including notably, an elaborate slowly zooming in crane shot, that Hitchcock went on to use to better effect, further on in his career. Unfortunately, the enjoyment of this shot & the climax of the movie are marred, again by random unnecessary casual racism. This time in the form of back up band members in blackface. Not exaggerated (or even commented on) blackface, but blackface nonetheless.
