here you go: destiel. playing scrabble. fluff. yay!

This took far too long, and it’s not too good. I need to get back on top of my game! but here you go

“Dean! That’s cheating, put it back!” Cas lunged  across the game board towards the hunter, grabbing at Dean’s hand and trying to knock the little tile from his grip. 

“Uh uh, hell no,” Dean retorted , a shit-eating grin spread across his face as he leaned back and held his tile far from Cas’s reach. It didn’t take long before the angel gave up on his task, and he rolled back onto the floor with a sigh. He watched the scrabble board as Dean laid down the letter ‘b’ in the top left corner with a smug look on his face. He pulled his hand back and burst into a fit of giggles, doubling over as he caught the disapproving look on Cas’s face.

“Deeeean. That’s not a proper word, you have to play the game properly.”

“Sure it’s a proper word, people say it all the time,” he glanced back at the board, eyes crinkling at the sides as he held back a second bout of laughter. ‘Butts’, Dean thought. Definitely a word. 

“Look, let me show you how to play properly, okay,” Castiel stumbled to his feet and readjusted his pyjama pants before shuffling around to Dean’s side of the board and plopping himself down onto the floor, once again completely disregarding the personal space rule. 

“Okay,” He began, picking up an ‘e’ tile. “See, this can go between these two letters, making the word ‘tea’, which is a real word,” A glare was shot in the hunter’s direction and Dean leaned back, shrugging in mock innocence at Castiel’s accusation. He watched as the angel placed a few more tiles down to make new words, filling him in on the scoring system as he did so. 

“Okay, so that shou-,” Dean leaned forwards and pressed his index finger over Cas’s mouth, silencing him, and moved closer to his face. He grinned widely, face close enough that the angel could count his freckles - and still moving closer. An arm slipped around Castiel’s waist, pulling him in and soft lips were pressed against his own, sweet and chaste. 

“Dean!” Cas gasped as Dean pulled away, his face flushed pink with embarrassment and shock. The hunter simply stared at him, green eyes locked  on blue. 

“What?” The hunter winked at the embarrassed angel, followed by another bright grin. 

“You… you kissed me.”

“And if you don’t scoot back round there and take your shot so we can finish this game, I ain’t gonna do it again, huggy bear.”

“Huggy be-”

“Your go, Cas.”
