I don’t actually have a TBR list anywhere. I have a pile of books on my nightstand and unread books on my Kindle and a couple dozen more books scattered around my bookshelves that I plan to read someday, when the time is right. So I literally just walked around my house counting all the books I could find that I haven’t read yet. :P

I counted 43 books in my house/on my kindle that are TBR.
41: Medieval Lives by Terry Jones and Alan Ereira
Yes, that Terry Jones, of Monty Python. :) This is a history of the European Middle Ages that I’ve actually been reading on and off for a couple years, mainly on airplanes. I think this is one of the books I bought at Blackstone’s when I visited @pepperf in Oxford the first time.
13: Unmentionable: The Victorian Lady’s Guide to Sex, Marriage, and Manners by Therese Oneill
This is more or less exactly what it says on the tin, a hilarious, tongue-in-cheek guide to what everyday life was like for Victorian women. The author’s note is titled, “Hello, Slattern,” which should tell you all you need to know. I bought this on the recommendation of my friend @noirbettie, who is never on tumblr anymore, but still has excellent taste.
4: A Feast for Crows, aka the 4th book in the A Song of Ice and Fire series, by George R.R. Martin
I caved and started reading the books. The only bits of the TV series Game of Thrones I’ve seen have been in gif form (and a two-hour compilation of all the Jaime/Brienne moments), but that was apparently enough to get me to read this series, which so far I’m enjoying very much.
Hmm, judging by these titles I like history and/or faux history. :P (It’s true, I do.)
