Seven Sentence Sunday

i was tagged by @gettingbyi to share something from something, and although i haven't progressed much further with anything, here's the proof the wingfic is still happening, albeit very slowly.

This time there is a strained whimper and Akram drops his satchel to the floor and drapes his coat across the empty desktop as he skirts round it, speeding up as the man's feet slip on the floor in a desperate search for purchase, wings fluttering feebly, unable to find leverage; it's obvious now he's struggling, strength waning, the bar pressing down dangerously on his chest. Akram grasps the bar, takes some of the strain. “Push,” he instructs, hoping to encourage him to find a little extra strength. Between them they lift it a few inches, but Akram's angle is awkward, he can't get the lift required from the side. He swings a leg across to the other side of the bench, straddling slim hips, and the new position allows him to take the strain. He feels the pull of the weight in his arms, a sympathetic ache in his shoulders, the desperate heat pulsing from the body beneath him. But it's the softer brushing of secondary feathers against his trousers that threatens to distract him, sweeping up his shins as together they slowly ease the bar up and drop it safely into the rack.
