November 24 past midnight / early morning of the 25th, 2020 (filmed) -

Taekook, Joon and Jimin watch the Grammy nominations broadcast video. 

As Tae leans on Joon to question him about the announcement method, Jk taps Tae’s side to also help clarify, informing him that the nominees were being listed at that very moment. This causes him to sit up.

The subtitles don’t pick it up but as Tae predicts a BTS nomination, Jk begins singing part of “blue and grey” (originally for Tae’s mixtape before being added to BE). The story behind this is that Tae - despite not having a religion - has a peculiar habit of asking his angels about anything that he wants to know or wants help with. Jk sings the line “Where’s my angel?” in allusion to this, playing along the running gag.

He rests his hand on Tae’s arm and looks into his eyes as he sings it.

As Joon, Jimin and Jk read the order in which categories will be read, Tae checks to see if Jk is hiding one of his snacks, then tries to take it away from him but Jk holds onto it, making it a difficult task for Tae who ends up having to use a second hand to open his grasp. Jk doesn’t flinch as he knows he is being sneaky.

Jk jokingly keeps trying to take Tae’s snack - the eggs in this occasion - to which he firmly says no as he adopts a protective attitude. Jk smiles.

Tae reminds him he already asked if he wanted a snack, using a faintly whiny tone.

Jk says he didn’t hear him before, sounding somewhat pitiful.

That’s when Tae does this face that expresses his doomed fate, knowing there’s no way he isn’t gonna give in and share with Jungkook.

Tae does as Jk playfully requests and asks Jk again if he’d like a snack.

Tae declines again and Jk laughs, wrinkling his nose. He’s having a hard time letting go of his precious egg since there’s few but he offers to share his kimbab instead.

Jk persists.

Tae then requests aegyo for food. He might as well get something out of it.

Jk tries to avoid it by complimenting Tae but it doesn’t work.

One translation - please note that as non native Korean speakers, we can’t verify this 100%. However, our understanding from prior instances when this has occurred is that it’s in between, not exactly flirting but also not just merely a performance. We think it would be more accurately translated to “appeal”, a typical request within kpop groups when they are asked to work the camera and attack people’s hearts, either due to cuteness, sensualness or manliness, etc. Tae said it quite casually (later requesting aegyo) but Jk tried to be flattering by specifically alluding Tae’s grace at being flirtatious, just like the many times he pointed it out while Tae performed Singularity. That’s where the “show” translation comes from.  further info -

Tae makes a cute noise while smiling and showing the food to Jk in a teasing manner.

Jk playfully pretends to kick the food away out of jealousy. They are both having fun with it.

As promised, they share Tae’s kimbaps without need for aegyo. Jk has already been given one but Tae offers him to try multiple varieties.

Tae is curious why Jk is eating his snack the way he is and messing it up. Just casual, relaxed chatter.

Tae grabs Jk’s hand to bring the food towards his mouth - without verbally asking - while Jk facilitates the action. Their fingers lightly touch as both hold the snack..

Only Taekook eat properly. Joon declines further bites despite declaring he was starving and did in fact crave what he was seeing, saying there will be time later. It felt like he was a bit more wary about consuming the limited amount of food that wasn’t his due to a sense of personal property, just barely trying it. 

Joon nods and makes a resigned face upon hearing Jk’s question. The younger one laughs -

Tae again requests Jk do something cute for a specific snack - the desired eggs. He nudges him as he makes his request, using a soft, quiet voice for his first sentence.

Tae counts to 3 to prepare Jk.

Jk responds by placing his index and thumb cutely under his chin.

Tae rewards him with the boiled egg.  They both look satisfied with the trade.

Jk then eyeballs the ramyeon. He asks for just one bite. 

Tae gestures again for Jk to do aegyo for the snack.

Jk chuckles in amusement.

Tae counts to three while, this time, placing his index and thumb under Jk’s chin.

He doesn’t agree that this is a cute performance and counts to three again.

Jk doesn’t appear to be ready for the second countdown - not a fan of doing aegyo - so Tae counts again, adamant in his ways.

This time, Jk succeeds and Tae hands over the ramyeon.

What’s telling to the authors is as nominations are read off, Taekook sit by each other. This speaks volumes since it’s such a monumental moment in their careers.

I thought I post my adventure fan characters but looking back it was only the sketches welp I have them now

From left to right the characters are based off of: Me, my friend Aiden, and my brother who's got a big fire thing so I'll just call him Flame here.

They all got a bit of a back story and a vauge idea of what their intro episode would look like but I shan't go about it here, maybe later.

Esquire releases quotes from the members as paid content for subscribed members. Each member compliments the person next to them, so for Tae it would be Jk (Jimin is next to Tae and is the one to compliment Tae). Not only does Tae praise Jk’s looks and reminds us that they click in terms of personality, he also goes deeper by showering him with compliments and support, displaying admiration, and expresses his concern at how hard Jk goes in his efforts.
