I'm going to have to agree with popmychieri-- any chance of alternating the POV? If not, Steve's seems a little cleaner for exposition.

The first one is fun and playful. The second reads more serious, as it introduces some of Bucky's anxieties (not having to explain himself, etc.). First one was more fun to read, second let me understand more about the characters.

I'm going to say Steve but it was a close race.

Steve. Steve's head is always the best place to be. The touch of sarcasm is beautiful. Steve. Yes, definitely Steve. Always Steve.

Both are really good! Maybe you can alternate povs throughout the fic?? Whichever one you choose will be engaging, although if you're only writing in one pov having Steve as pov might emphasize this is skinny!steve

I think I slightly prefer Bucky's POV here.

I like the Steve POV. There's just something about his voice that clicks for me. Maybe it's the expectation that his view is accurate because he strikes me as being completely honest with himself.
I might think about alternating. I'm not a huge fan of doing alternating anymore (it's harder for me to keep it cohesive, and I'm not ready to tackle that project yet) but I'm setting this up to be a bit more episodic by chapter so it might work.
But I think Steve wins out, which I thought it would. Alright, time to brush up on my art restoration knowledge.
Thank you everyone. Sometimes I just need the additional boost to my brainpower.
