Okay, but like unsent letters from stanford!sam to dean, and he leaves them on his bedside table and every night when he goes to sleep he looks at them and thinks 'maybe I'll send that tomorrow' but he never does and every time he sees them he kinda loses himself for a second and considers going back but then he snaps out of it and sets himself back and Jess always notices them and she reads through them one night and then keeps them safe and Sam grabs them when he leaves (to be continued)

And all the time he's traveling with Dean he looks at them every night and then just puts them back because it reminds him of a time that seems so so long ago and he loses himself all over again and one night Dean sees him and reads the letters and it leads to the pair sitting in silence for an hour before Dean hugs Sam and that night Sam can't sleep because he keeps thinking about being back in Stanford so far away from angels and demons (Im sorry this was so long)
